I'm Molly, an English tattoo artist working between Boston, MA, and my hometown of Oxford, UK.
I make portraits, heavy blackwork, and pieces that borrow the melancholy and grotesquerie of old religious paintings. I want to evoke nostalgia and longing. I want to tell a story.
That being said, if I could tattoo 70s icons all day long, I would. I'm so inspired by the decade—the music, the statements, the boundary-pushing, and how radical it was for its time.
These are the things that have stuck with me since I was a child: the macabre, the sacred, the sad, and the beautiful. It's what I read, what I write, and what I make for myself. I can make it for you too.
